Cemetery Plot

In NC I discovered there is a cemetery plot with my mother's name on it. She is deceased and to my knowledge did not know about the plot. The cemetery office has a plot map with her name on it, but could not find an original deed. How do I find a deed to a cemetery plot in NC?

Could it be a person with an identical name?

No. It is in a family section and she is the only one by that name.
