When is the correct time to distribute some or all of the assets to the heirs of the will? The creditor period passed a little over a month ago and no one came forward because we made sure all my dad's bills were paid. His income tax return has been done and no other debt is owed. Is there any paperwork to file first before the rest of his estate is passed to the heirs or a waiting period? We are doing an informal probate. Estate inventory papers have been distributed to the the heirs as well as the accounting info. Thanks.
