What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

My husband owned 2 cars. My lawyer told me I am only allowed to sell one. His will is in probate. I get all his assets. What is the reason I can only sell one car and when can I sell the other.

Perhaps there may be additional possibility of creditor claims, or still be potential estate taxes to cover?
