State is Georgia. An estate sale was held in January of this year but the will is not probated yet.

If probate had not been opened and an executor appointed by the court, then nobody had the authority to sell the deceased's assets.

If the executor intends to open probate, be appointed by the court, and include the proceeds in the administration of the estate, then the premature estate sale would probably be looked at as a case of "no harm, no foul."
