I have a rental property that I was remodeling and had just put new siding on it and some other improvements and did not have insurance on it because it was canceled because of the age of the house and condition. I was improving it to get better new insurance WHEN the next door neighbor's house was caught on fire by what was suspected as a kitchen fire by the owners tenant. Is the OWNER responsible for the damage it caused to my property?
