What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio

Is it necessary to go through Probate when all assets of an estate were set up to pass to beneficiaries without having to go through Probate? CDs are POD, House Deed is TOD, some items in a Trust, checking account is Joint and Survivorship.

There is just my sister and myself as beneficiaries. My sister lives out of state, and Il am handling the estate. Everything is split 50-50.

Thank you for your help.

If there is nothing left in the estate after all these TOD/Trust things are taken care of, you probably could ignore probate. Are their any debts in the estate? There may still be tax issues if the aggregate value is in the millions.
