What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

One of my neighbors trees, the roots and branches, impedes onto
my property. The roots protrude from the ground and cause me to
trip over them. There is little space to walk around them. Also, several
large branches hang over into my property and drop lots of leaves onto
my lawn.
1) Can I legally cut the roots that impede onto my property and
can I cut the branches that hang over onto my property as well?
2) If I cut the roots off and the tree dies, can she sue me?
3) Can she sue me if I cut the branches off?
4) What are my rights regarding the roots and branches on my property?

I don't want a legal matter on my hands nor do I want to sue her or get sued.
I am a 76 year old woman who lives alone and do the yardwork myself.

As long as you don't kill the tree.

2) If I cut the roots off and the tree dies, can she sue me?
Yes.

3) Can she sue me if I cut the branches off?
If you kill or tremendously harm the tree.

4) What are my rights regarding the roots and branches on my property?
You can cut them, don't kill the tree, don't worry, it will grow back.

Well then how do you expect to cut the branches?

Is there a fence involved? Be 101% sure the roots and branches are on your side of the property line. Have you found the iron pipe markers, regardless of the fence (if there is a fence)?

You can shave the roots that stick up. Don't HAVE to dig them out. Ask an arborist to give you an estimate to do the work. Don't hire him unless you really want to. Gather the info you need to do the job yourself.
