What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio. I have a car that was left on my property by my aunt. She passed away in nov of 2006. The car is not worth anything. My problem is how do I get the title in my name (I have title) so that I can get rid of the car?

Why did the car not go through the probate process?

If I read correctly (just a quick browse), call the local police and report it as abandoned. Either they will have it towed or they provide some documentation that would allow you to have it removed.

you do not have to obtain a title
