I am starting a new job where I will be an independent contractor for a company that does plumbing work. I need to start my own business. I am debating between a sole proprietor and s corp, but am not sure what would be best. I do not need to raise capital. I will not have employees (at least for now), only working for myself. I would be going to people's homes to install and repair various things and I understand that insurance is best for insuring against the liability, but would one type of business be better than the other from that perspective and why?
