calif i accepted a job with the schedule of mon thru fri 7:30am to 4:00pm we had a vote in the department for a shift change and now our new shift is 1st week 4 10 hr days and the 2nd week 3 13hr days i can not accept that shift due to being a single parent. please let me know if i would qualifty for unemployment. thanks janet

It is unclear why you should be given unemployment compensation. Whether it is because you lost that vote, you are a single parent, or you plan to quit, I don't know. In any case, neither of those would qualify you to recive unemployment compensation in California.
