What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

In 2005, right after graduating college, a friend and I decided to form a corporation. Six months later we gave up on the idea and we our separate ways. Now 5 years later I receive a Notice of Estimated Deficiency from NYS Taxation and Finance for corporate back taxes owed. We never made any money from the corporation. What should I do?

The notice says I owe taxes for 2005 to 2006 because I did not file a tax return. Well I didn't make any money so I did not think I needed to file a tax return for the corporation. I'll take your advice and get help from a tax professional, thanks.
