company forced employees in ohio area to go non-union, those wishing to stay unionized in company relocated to michigan. Now there are approximately 33 men driving to michigan daily, in order stay with the company and remain in the union. Not only do these men pay union dues in michigan, but are expected to pay union dues in ohio as well still (paying more than before on the ohio, then when working there). Why would these men have to pay for a union that doesn't exist for them in that state and can they be forced to pay both unions?

Sounds fishy indeed. I would suggest that you either speak with an employment law attorney who handles union cases or with the National Labor Relations Board. To find an attorney near you go to https://attorneypages.com

For information on the NLRB, to to their web site at http://www.nlrb.gov
