I'm from NJ. I'm a Union crane operator. I had to quit a construction job yesterday because my knees hurt me to much to run the crane. The cranes I run are the big ones which have big heavy foot brakes. Over the years my knees have been getting worn out. I had 1 knee operation and now need a cartilage implant. The recovery for such an operation is about 6 months. Financialy I can't make it for 6 months on state disability. Can workmen compensation do anything for me.I have worked for hundreds of differant contractors over 28 years, who would be the contractor to claim to? Please help.......I'm desperate...........Thank you
