What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
I want to get a divorce from my wife, I left her in June. Trying to save some money to pay for the divorce, in the meantime she has filed a petition for guardianship saying that I am mentally incapacitated. Now my family and friends know that this is not true. My day in probate court is scheduled for September 14th. She has an attorney, but I don't. I looked up what the standards are for being mentally incapacitated and I don't have any of those standards. I work almost full-time and go to school. She also involved my parents by having them as interested parties. All I want is a divorce so I can get on with my life. What can I do to make sure she doesn't get guardianship?
