I purchased my aunt's car shortly before she moved overseas. Unfortunately, the title was stolen shortly afterwards. I've been unable to contact my aunt to arrange for a duplicate title (I'm currently in Virginia, but the car is registered in her name in Florida). The car was paid for by a single check, a copy of which I am able to obtain from my bank. What is my best course of action? It has been several months since I've been able to contact her.
