What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VA
My son, 18, just got a speeding ticket. He's a good kid and really drives well. The place he got the ticket is where it drops from 45 mph to 35 mph instantly because you are entering a construction zone. Of course, when he saw that it dropped to 35, he started slowing down, but it was too late. The cop was right there. He didn't give drivers a chance to reduce their speed before pulling them over. He was cited for going 53 in a 35. So, yes, he was speeding (7 mph over) even at 45, but he was going with traffic. But to site him for 18 over because he set a trap that where no one stands a chance, that's wrong.

My question is, do we have a chance to go to court and win this?
