Colorado - I know that an Independent Trustee is one not affiliated with a bank. And a Successor Trustee is one who takes over the trust after the death of the owner. But what's the difference between then?

I have a Revocable Trust account and an Irrevokable Trust Account that were left to me when my Dad died. My CPA will be the Trustee and I am Co-Trustee. What kind of Trustee will the C:confused:PA be?

If the trust instrument is correctly drawn up, the powers of the trustees (all of them) will be listed.

Your state statutes may also give trustees certain powers.
