Can an employee be suspended to 3 days for 2 different mistakes in 7 month period?

People will make mistakes for different reasons.

I thought suspensions are for objective reasons like excessive tardiness, coming to work late, etc.

There are no laws that limit what an employer may suspend an employee for. While it may or may not be effective to suspend an employee for making mistakes, nothing in the law makes it illegal to do so.

I would note, however, that there are limited reasons for which an employer can suspend a salaried exempt employee without pay.
