What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

Hi,

I'm having a very difficult time with my contractor over completing a 50,000 job. He has threatened to sue and I am confident that I will prevail. But I am getting tired of dragging this out. Is there an advantage to initiating the suit or should I wait until the contractor files?

TIA,
rubymoon
