if someone dies without a will, can a child be "forced" to inherit the house? ther are 3 children and one of them wants no part of it.

no. you cannot give something unless the person will accept it. For the other parties, a lawyer should be consulted to the refusal is properly documented so there cannot be a claim in the future and this action will not cloud the title.
