What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? florida, my sister recently bought a car for which she is still paying. she was duped into paying twice as much as the car is worth due to bad credit. she is right in the middle of her payments so the options are either do a payoff and pay over twice what the car is worth or give the car back & be out $3500. Does she have any legal options to get a fair deal out of this dealership?

The deal seemed fair to her when she signed on the dotted line and took possession of the vehicle, right.

She has two choices. 1 ~ pay off the car or 2 ~ give it back and she has basically paid rent for it.

Oh yea, and if she takes option #2 her credit will probably be further in the toilet. It is because of people like her that this car dealership charges the prices he does. Half the time he takes a loss.

It is a risk he offsets with higher prices and understandably so.

Additionally, judges don't like to re-write agreements/contracts. I am only assuming she signed one if dealing with a dealership with any brains. Furthermore, the cost to fight the contact/agreement probably would cost twice what she owes on the car.
