What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York State
My question regards the legalities of offering a document preparation service to individuals who are enforcing their own small claim court judgments.
The service would be web-based. The individual judgment creditor would select blank legal forms needed in the various stages of enforcing their unpaid judgment. The form(s) would be completed by the judgment creditor on his/her computer prior to printing, and would subsequently require signature by the Clerk of the applicable Court before service of process. These are not Bloomberg forms, but rather, forms designed specifically for Small Claims actions only, and have been used successfully in the past with no objection.
Naturally the web site would provide no legal advice.
What are the legalities of such a service as it pertains to the laws of New York State?
