What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TX

The will providse the estate will pay expenses incurred by the executor in connection with his duties as executor.

The executor claims $1800 as an expense under the following scenario. Should the $1800 be paid by the estate?

Executor's wife took 7 vacation days to travel from Az to Tx, the home of the deceased, to help the executor with various duties. The vacation days are tracked in an account by wife's employer. If the employee leaves the company, the employer pays the employee for the value of any unused vacation days. The executor wants to pay his wife for the value of the vacation days, then have the estate reimburse him for this as an expense incurred by the executor in connection with his duties as executor.
