I work for a subcontrator who does work for a general contractor. The general contractor requires my company to have workers compensation of 1,000,000 and that they be add on additonally to our workers compensation. This expired over a month ago and I am still doing work with my company for this particular general contractor. My concern is if I get hurt I am not covered by workers comp even though it is required by the general contractor. My question is who is liable and what would be my options if i get hurt.

Sincerely,
Concerned employee
