What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? north carolina,my great-grand father bought some land in 1928s,i pay the tax on this property,the only to persons still a live is his sister 2 daughthers,how can i get this property deeded to me only,they dont want to pay the tax

Who officially owns the property currently, as per the deed, and how is it titled?

Then if the owner is deceased, did his/her estate go thru probate?
