I live in Florida and worked from home with a company based out of Connecticut. I was recently laid off along with 140 employees, in total about 90% off the company. Prior to being laid off I had submitted roughly $5000 dollars of travel expenses I incurred while employed and have not seen any money and have been told not to expect reimbursement. The company is having financial troubles but they haven't filled for bankruptcy, I believe they are trying to sell the company. What are my options? If the company is sold will the new company be liable for this debt.
