Suspending license of co-signer when primary hasnt paid

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida

I cosigned an auto loan last year. Received a call today from Geico that the the car has not been insured for a couple months and hers as well as my license would be suspended. The obvious is for me to pay the insurance but can Geico even do this to a cosigner?

If your name is on the title/registration, then you are responsible for making sure it's legal.

well, that's half the answer.


as co-borrower, I suspect you are also a joint title holder. As such, yes, your license can be suspended along with the other joint owner.
