This should be covered under your homeowners insurance, I used to work in the insurance industry. I had this happen to a client and she was able to get " replacement " cost on her electronics. Call your insurance company and see if you have " replacement" coverage.;)
 
if it was an "outage" i would think that NO POWER was going to the mentioned appliances so how could something with NO POWER get damaged?
