What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Washington
Is it legal for a defense attorney to submit a lesser charge in a trial without their clients prior approval? And if they do and I did not agree what steps should I take?

When the judge asks you if you agree to the deal, you simply say, "No."

What did your attorney say when you asked him about it? Is he willing to withdraw the offer so that you can go to trial?
