What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California
What happens if the respondent doesn't show up for the Trial? And has not filed for continuance or ???

Depends on the judge and the issues.

The result could be any of the following:

- Petitioner wins default judgment
- Judge orders bench warrant for Respondent
- Judge orders continuance

Probably other things as well.

If you gave a little more detail, it might be possible to give a better answer.
