driving with suspended license with knowledge in florida

I was hit with a driving with suspended license in tampa i was given 10 days to file for a court date and i mailed the ticket in for a court date but by the time it got there i was over the time limit so today i recieved a letter saying a warrant was issued but i could turn myself in to the sherrifs office mon-fri 9am-3pm and pay either 250.00 or a bond. how long do i have to turn myself in and what are my options so no jail is required and do i need a lawyer and if so what if i cant afford one
