What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC

If there are two names on the auto title, can only one person obtain auto insurance? Only one person will be driving this vehicle.

Both owners should be listed on the policy. The primary driver should be noted. But if there is an accident and someone sues, they are going to name both owners, so both need to be protected.
