What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? new jersey
I was married,registered in India on Apr 2009 to US husband who is on H1.when i come to US,I changed to F1 status in US.where should i file divorce in USA or India?I am having issues.Am i eligible to take divorce in US(marriage not registered in USA). please do help.do i have any problem regarding my F1 status or visa?

I don't know anything about India law.

As for the U.S., you can file for divorce in the U.S. if you meet the residency requirements wherever you are living.

I don't know about immigration status - you could try on the immigration boards.

You should really consult with an attorney wherever you are living.
