This applies to North Carolina.
NC normally allows 30 days between complaint and judgement. Is there a way to reduce this to nearly zero? I realize the court will still have to act and it's the end of the year with Christmas so the schedule will be tight. Perhaps some sort of consent to judgement or stipulation or a Benji slipped to the clerk?
If there is a form, any ideas on where to find one?
I'd like to file a complaint for divorce on Tuesday (12/7) and get a judgement before the end of the year. Tuesday marks one year +1 day of seperation. Both spouses are in agreement and motivated to conclude this issue to avoid a marriage penalty tax hit. There are no kids and all property has been divided. There are no support payments.
Thanks for any help.
