What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA
In process of contested bifurcation hearing. Don't have a lot of money to fly witnesses back and forth, and Judge has stated that witnesses must appear - be physically present. Is there any way around this? I.E. : appear by phone, etc?

Judge has stated that witnesses must appear - be physically present.
If the judge stated that, even if he is legally wrong (Which I doubt.), an appeal will cost more. So, to the question:
Is there any way around this? I.E. : appear by phone, etc?
The answer is no. Unless the judge agrees.
