What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington

My father passed away 8 years ago. His 3rd wife did not inform us until more than a month after his death. There was never any mention of a will, though I know he had one because he talked about needing to change it a few years prior to his death. Is there any way to be sure he had one and to view the details? Is there any statute of limitations on a will?

Thanks for any information! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Did you ever check with the court house in the county where you Father died to see if a will was submitted for probate?

Do you know who your Father's lawyer was - maybe he/she would know about a will.

Might I ask why you waited so long to look into your Father having a will?
