is it legal for an employer to discharge you for a 13 year old criminal charge after the applicant revealed this information during the interview in the application and before being sworn in. the employer had certain procedures that should have been followed before the applicant was to be sworn in, which did not take place, either before or after the job offer. the applicant was notified by mail that she was terminated due to "an unsatisfactory fbi clearance"
