I am in California.

One of our employees gave us 2 days notice, her last day was April 9th. I deposited her paycheck for 04-01 - 04-09 into her bank account on the 13th - payday for all employees. (She works off site from home).

She says her last check had to be deposited or in her posession within 72 hours after her last working day.

1) Is that correct, or did we pay her on time ?

She wrote checks, expecting the money to be in her account on 04-12. No she was charged by her bank for uncovered checks.

2) Do we have to reimburse her for those costs ?
