What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Jersey, lawyer is in NY.

I have hired a lawyer in December 2010 to create family trust, including will and health proxy, but have not heard from him since January 5, 2011.

I had paid 1/2 of the agreed fee by credit card.

I have tried to contact his office by e-mails and by phone, but had not get any response.

The contract with the lawyer that I have signed does not have the date of completion.

Some other information: the need for all this is my somewhat declining health.

Questions:

1. Can I expect the project to be completed in timely manor?
2. Can I fire the guy for abandoning me?
3. Can I dispute charge with credit card company?

Many thanks beforehand.
