What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana
Hello everyone.
In September, I bought a car cash on Craigslist from a guy in Marshall, TX. He has jerked me around about the title, now I have found out there are 2 liens on it. I guess I need to know if this is a crime and who I should contact: The Marshall PD where he lives, or the Bossier, LA PD where I live. Also, what kind of attorney should I contact, because I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to sue him to get the title.
If I left anything pertinent out, please let me know. I know I shouldn't have bought the car w/o the title, but I can't do anything about that now.
