Are the entire contents of my case file available me?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

Case was a motorcycle accident in 1989, I was recently contacted by my attorney advising they would destroy my case file in 45 days unless I contacted them.

I'm sending a letter to request the file.

I'm just curious if I will get everything related to my case? I think it would be interesting to see all of the correspondence between my attorney and the defense, I just don't know if that would be included.

Of course if it's not included I'd never know it...

That's kinda what I thought.. cool... I'm sure there will be some interesting nuggets in there.. probably a lot of cruft.. but should be interesting.
