I live in WA State. My Uncle recently passed and his house went into probate, which was not necessary as family members were not fighting over the house. The Will named an Executor, and how to divide assets. The Estate is under $500,000. The lawyer my uncle designated to handle everything in his Will simply told the Executor (my grandmother) that he put the house into probate for fees. He's simply in it for the money. Do I have a case against this lawyer?

Probate is not only for when people are fighting over assets. An estate must be probated to distribute ANY assets, even if everyone agrees, other then accounts with a beneficiary or property titled as joint tenants. There is paperwork to be done and procedures that need to be followed. If it's not done, then the assets can't be clearly transferred.
