What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nj
"bob's probation will be ending this year, and bob needs to know what rights he will have while on probation, such as: must he consent to search at any time, must he show i.d. at anytime, is he allowed to refuse an officer...basically those types of things. is probation just like being property of the state, except you are not in prison, but living at home?? can he vote while on probation?
he's currently going with that idea that anything can violate his probation. Drinking alcohol, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, ect. he basically stays away from everybody and everything, because he doesn't know what he allowed or not allowed to do on probation...???

bob's second part to this is: when his probation ends, how does he make sure his rights are restored, and what rights will be restored??
his right to vote? his civil rights? his right to bear arms? etc.

Probation is for possession of a controlled substance, felony. and a weapon (NOT a gun or knife) while in possession of the controlled substance. sched. 3 & 4

Bob thanks you in advance for the information."
