We are a group of people looking into starting an organization with primary focus of providing education and professional development platform for professionals in a specific field. The basic idea is to arrange meetings and courses that will be paid through by the attendees...very much discounted because we only need to offset operating costs and keep small amount of surplus.
The turnover is really small and is intended to further a specific professional field and the organization will be dedicated to furthering this specific field.
Where should we begin? We have drafted a mission statement, have a name for it and we are contemplating to get a website together. But there are many more questions.
Lawyer ( we don't even know what questions to ask if hire one)?
Start up money (will come from our pockets, how does that work)?
Paperwork/registration?
Governance or board?
