What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama
Moving company moved us from Texas to Alabama. They damaged many items (couch, sofa, tool box, beds, others) some of which are ruined beyond repair. I have sent detailed pictures and slideshows of damage. They installed washing machine incorrectly which lead to leak when we went back to Texas to get items they left. Water damage has caused $12,000 in damage to house we are renting. They refuse to accept liability, even though they admit they installed it. Are they liable? Cash offer for all damaged items is less than $600. Is it worth hiring a lawyer?

What did the agreement you signed say about damages to your items?
