How to get records EXPUNGED

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? ca
friend has a felony arrest. It was dismissed (rehab). I want to get the record expunged. Any help would be appreciated. Dont know where to start. Have no idea on the cost either.

YOU cannot do anything. Your friend would have to take care of their own legal matters.

He/She would have to File a PC 17(b) petition to get felony reduced, and PC 1203.4 petition for expungement.

Does she or he want the record expunged? It's always best for the person actually in the legal situation to post. Please let your friend know about the forum.

yes, im just looking online to help him I have seen that form "permission for dismissal" his charges were already "dismissed" by the judge, so is that the same for to have them "expunged"?
