What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA
I have the following situation.
In October 2010 I started general partnership with my friend, offering Niagara Falls trips. I created a website in November for the business. Our business didn't run well, we had no time to do this anymore, so we closed it during tax period. In May of this year I got the demand letter from a company, which stated that their registered image was used on our business web site, so there was a copyright violation. They are demanding money for unauthorized usage of their image. Do we still have the liability for this, if our business was closed before they sent a claim? Our partnership wasn't of limited liability, just general.
Thanks!
