What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

If I design a T-Shirt logo and print it on a brand name shirt (Hanes, Fruit of the Loom, etc), are those companies entitled to any of the profits from my shirt sales? Would I need to contact the company to discuss the use of their product? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
