IF A PERSON IS OUT OF WORK AND IS GETTING COMPENSATION BENEFITS, (APPROX. 2/3 OF REG SALARY), MUST THEY ALSO BE USING THEIR PAID TIME OFF (VACATION AND SICK DAYS) SO THAT THEY CAN QUALIFY FOR FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE? IN OTHER WORDS, DO THEY HAVE TO EXHAUST THEIR VACATION AND SICK TIME IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR FMLA? FOR SOME LUCKY PEOPLE, THIS WOULD MEAN GETTING PAID BY COMP. AND GETTING THEIR VACATION TIME ALSO, THERBY GETTING PAID TWICE. AND THEN, IF YOU THROW IN A SHORT TERM DISABILITY INS. POLICY, THE EMP. COULD ACTUALLY GET PAID THREE TIMES. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY ANYONE WOULD EVER GO BACK TO WORK AGAIN. HELP!!!
