We are located in Florida. My boyfriend and I are ready to start a small variety store. Before doing so, we need some information regarding obtaining licensing and permits. He is a convicted felon and we do not know if he will be able to obtain a business license for this type of business. We will eventually sell other products like alcohol, lottery, and tobacco . We'll need licensing for this also. I guess that's another thread topic.
What are the restrictions regarding obtaining a business license for felons here in Florida? His felony is for possession of a controlled substance. I understand these laws are state specific and hope to get further information here.
